Information about TSFAQP in General and Acknowledgments
=======================================================
TSFAQP is a collection of frequently asked common Turbo Pascal
questions and my answers to these questions. Most of these questions
have appeared on the Usenet comp.lang.pascal (later replaced by
comp.lang.pascal.borland) newsgroup. Object oriented programming,
protected mode programming, linked lists, Turbo Vision, Turbo Pascal
for Windows and Delphi are not covered. Most of the relevant testing
has been conducted with TP 5.0 and TP 7.01. Comments and corrections
are solicited.
You are free to quote brief passages from my text in this package
provided you clearly indicate the source with an acknowledgment. If
you do, the preferred pointer to me in such a connection is "Prof.
Timo Salmi (ts@uwasa.fi) of the University of Vaasa, Finland".
This package may be used and distributed freely for NON-COMMERCIAL,
NON-INSTITUTIONAL, PRIVATE purposes, provided it is not changed in
any way. (Repacking with another method is ok, though.) For ANY
other usage please contact the author. Uploading to bulletin boards
is encouraged. Please keep this collection intact. Do not distribute
any part of this package separately.

There is a further Frequently Asked Questions collection that is of
particular interest to tsfaqp*.zip readers. It is Stan Brown's
news:comp.os.msdos.programmer FAQ later taken up by Jeff Carlyle as
ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/doc-net/dosfv206.zip of whichever version
number is the current. Stan's / Jeff's FAQ uses C language in the
examples, but even if you do not know C (like I don't) there is
plenty of general programming lore in there. Another useful file is
ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/c-lang/c-lesson.zip "A complete course for
you to learn the C language". A plethora of Turbo Pascal lore can
also be found in SourceWare Archival Group's multi-part collections
ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/turbopas/swag*.zip. Also see the file
ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/pd2/tspost22.zip for Stefano Locati's draft
as a TP mouse FAQ item. Furthermore, for WWW information on Turbo
Pascal programming connect to my home page http://uwasa.fi/~ts/ and
point to the collection of HTTP links in there.
